Critical One brings civil works partner on board for logistics around Howell Lake antimony project
Toronto-based antimony and gold explorer Critical One Energy has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with one of Canada's largest civil infrastructure companies, Green Infrastructure Partners.
The 24-month agreement sets the framework for Green Infrastructure Partners to support road planning, civil works, workforce training and contract mining services at Critical One's flagship Howells Lake antimony and gold project, in Ontario's Thunder Bay North Mining Division.
Green Infrastructure Partners' active Northern Ontario infrastructure work with the provincial government creates planning synergies for the Howells Lake project, including access route considerations, as the project advances.
"The agreement brings one of Canada's largest civil infrastructure groups into the Howells Lake story at the right moment. We have advanced the project from a historic antimony/gold system into an active, permitted project, with drilling continuing to support the project's potential as a direct-shipping-ore route to military and industrial buyers. Green Infrastructure Planning will help us plan the road access, infrastructure and haulage of ore to market.
"We now have the asset, the permits and the partners to position the project as a prominent North American source of critical minerals for the defence, technology and clean energy sectors," says Critical One founder, CEO and chairperson Duane Parnham.
