TSX-listed Aclara Resources has received a consolidated evaluation report from Chile's Environmental Assessment Service, recommending approval of the company's environmental-impact assessment (EIA) on the Penco Module ionic clay project.

The consolidated evaluation report represents one of the final stages of the environmental licensing assessment process for projects in Chile.

The document summarises the technical and regulatory review conducted by the competent authorities throughout the environmental evaluation process, including input received during the citizen participation process and the Indigenous consultation process.

The Environmental Assessment Service's favourable recommendation for approval of the Penco Module EIA confirms it has the technical and environmental requirements necessary for consideration by the Environmental Assessment Commission of the Biobío region.

"Receiving this favourable recommendation in Chile represents a key milestone for the Penco Module and is the result of years of dedicated work to develop a project designed for high environmental and social standards and to coexist responsibly with its surrounding environment and local communities," says Aclara executive VP José Augusto Palma.

Aclara's development partner, Grupo CEO Nicolás Burr adds he is confident that the authorities in the Biobío region will approve the project's environmental qualification resolution, which marks the formal environmental authorisation needed for the project's development.

The Environmental Evaluation Committee's next meeting that will consider the EIA is scheduled for June 8.

Aclara's patented technology, Circular Mineral Harvesting, offers a sustainable and energy efficient extraction process for rare earths from ionic clay deposits. The technology minimises water consumption and overall environmental impact through recycling and circular economy principles.
