Resolute appoints Jardine to board as Reynolds retires
Dual-listed gold miner Resolute Mining has appointed human resources (HR) executive Gina Jardine as a nonexecutive director, effective from the conclusion of its AGM on May 20.
The appointment comes alongside the retirement of nonexecutive director Adrian Reynolds, who will step down from the board after serving since 2021.
Jardine brings more than 30 years of international experience across capital-intensive and highly regulated industries, including senior leadership roles in the mining sector.
She previously served as chief HR officer at Kinross Gold and held a range of senior roles at Rio Tinto. Her experience also includes executive positions at CRH.
Her expertise spans people and culture, safety, sustainability and community engagement, areas that Resolute said would support its continued growth and operational development.
Jardine will serve on the company’s sustainability and audit committees.
“I am delighted to welcome Gina to the Resolute board. Her extensive global experience and proven leadership in people, culture, safety and sustainability will be a tremendous asset as Resolute continues to grow and evolve,” commented chairperson Andrew Wray.
The Africa-focused company also acknowledged Reynolds’ contribution during his tenure, with Wray thanking him for his “commitment and invaluable guidance”.
Jardine is also a nonexecutive director of Forterraand and serves as chair of Women in Mining UK.
