Wesizwe progressing infrastructure key to Bakubung's ramp-up

JSE-listed Wesizwe Platinum, which is developing the Bakubung mine in South Africa's North West province, says it continues to make progress in advancing key underground infrastructure needed for production to ramp up.

The raisebore pilot hole for the V1 ventilation shaft was successfully holed on the 69 level ahead of schedule – a significant milestone that will be followed by the reaming of the shaft.

In addition, the Merensky silo slipe and line process is well under way following the successful holing of the drop raises.
