As mining operations seek greater efficiency, improved recovery and more reliable processing, Upstream Technology is developing specialised solutions designed to address some of the industry's most demanding mineral-processing challenges. Established through the merger of De Beers Marine and Ignite, the business combines technology development, engineering expertise and decades of diamond-processing experience.

Its portfolio includes conventional X-ray Luminescence (XRL) diamond sorters, X-ray Transmission (XRT) sorting systems for high-feedrate and reconcentration applications, RhoVol densimetric measurement systems, non-nuclear dense-medium controllers and MagRoll magnetic separators. These technologies are supported by luminescent tracers and ceramic diamond simulants used to optimise sorting performance.

Importantly, Upstream Technology's offering extends beyond equipment supply. The company provides technical and metallurgical support, including plant-flow-sheet assessments, ore-dressing studies, technical training, equipment inspections, repairs and emergency assistance. This combination of technology and application expertise enables customers to optimise their processes and extract greater value from their operations.

Looking ahead, Upstream Technology is well positioned to build on its specialist processing expertise as mines increasingly seek smarter, more efficient and data-driven solutions for mineral recovery and plant optimisation.
