Customised recruitment platforms enable streamlined registration at minimal cost to candidates, while built-in feedback mechanisms help employers manage community expectations, support SLP commitments and improve candidate readiness.
TEBA can also help source skills across multiple mining jurisdictions by shortlisting, interviewing and processing pre-screened candidates, improving candidate readiness and reducing drop-out rates.
Screening
Screening services include criminal record checks, ID verification, passport and visa verification, qualification verification and legal-appointment validation. Each check is linked to the candidate’s profile, with biometrics securely recorded on TEBA’s system – a repository of about 1.8-million current and former mineworkers – to help reduce hiring risk and support compliance processes.
Onboarding
When onboarding happens in disconnected silos, small gaps can quickly become material operational and compliance risks – including risks that can affect a mine’s licence to operate.
TEBA On Mine offices help manage employee-related risk on behalf of customers by standardising onboarding processes and supporting audit-ready recordkeeping. Each mineworker processed through TEBA has a complete biographical file linked to a biometric profile, aligned to HR best practice and relevant legal responsibilities.
Mineworkers benefit from an independently maintained work-history record across multiple employers, linked to verified qualifications to support career progression. Long after individual sites or HR teams have changed, mineworkers continue to rely on TEBA for access to these records and employment opportunities. A record of service, linked to a medical exit, is another critical input for occupational health practitioners assessing exposure and risk.
TEBA’s onboarding approach supports employee benefits administration during and after employment. Accurate beneficiary and personal information updates, linked to service provision through TEBA’ office network, underpins efficient benefits distribution strategies and helps to ensure continuity of support beyond a mineworker’s active service.
Together, these services meet immediate workforce and operational requirements while strengthening the foundations for post-employment support and responsible mining across the region.
