LONDON - Shares in Ukraine-focused iron-ore pellet producer Ferrexpo shares surged as much as 60% when they resumed trading on Monday after several months of suspension.

The company last week said it had secured a $100-million equity fund-raise last week after publishing its full-year results for 2025 and on Monday announced the restart of production at its operations in Ukraine. Shares were last up around 32% on the day.

Ferrexpo shares had been suspended from trading from May 1 after the company failed to secure a $100-million equity fund-raise in time to publish its audited 2025 results by a regulatory deadline.

The Ukraine-focused miner has been dealing with heavily strained finances.

Both Russian and Ukrainian forces have intensified long-range air strikes in recent weeks.

US peace envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff heralded new momentum in peace talks after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv on Sunday.
