Aim- and AltX-listed Shuka Minerals has started the Phase 1 drilling programme at the No.2 orebody at its Kabwe zinc mine, in Zambia.

The No.2 orebody is open at depth and the initial diamond drill hole will be angled at 65° and is planned to intersect the orebody below the current workings at a depth of about 220 m to 230 m.

Silver, vanadium, gallium and germanium are present at the No.2 orebody, although these metals have never been the focus of exploration and testing in previous operations.

Shuka intends to undertake further work to identify the potential of these commodities as part of the ongoing programme.
