Company's warehouse expansion strengthens local presence

CONFIDENT COMMITMENT The opening of Eaton Electric South Africa’s new facilities underscores its confidence in South Africa's energy transitions, further demonstrating the company’s commitment to support domestic customers and local investment
To strengthen its presence and customer support in South Africa, power management company Eaton Electric South Africa has opened its new head office, Solutions Studio, and expanded warehousing facilities in Longmeadow, Johannesburg, together with new logistics partner DP World.
These developments afford Eaton Electric South Africa’s partners and customers greater access to product demonstrations, technical expertise, delivery and support.
The new Solutions Studio will provide hands-on exposure to Eaton’s power management technologies, while the expanded warehousing facilities boost product availability and customer support. This at a time when South Africa’s energy landscape is changing owing to businesses and organisations looking for more reliable, efficient and resilient ways to manage their power.
Simultaneously, growing electrification and investment in new generation are increasing the need for intelligent power management, Eaton Electric South Africa observes.
According to intergovernmental organisation the International Energy Agency, global electricity demand grew by 3% in 2025, more than twice the rate of other energy contributors.
This momentum, Eaton Electric South Africa sales leader Nistine van Ryneveld explains, encourages sectors and companies to invest in intelligent power management and generation.
“South Africa continues to face energy and electrification challenges, but we are seeing encouraging progress towards greater energy security and resilience. This reinforces Eaton’s commitment to the country and our belief in the important role South Africa can play in the global energy transition,” Van Ryneveld states.
Strengthened Availability
The opening of Eaton Electric South Africa's new facilities underscores its confidence in South Africa's energy transition. It also demonstrates Eaton's long-term commitment to support domestic customers and local investment, Van Ryneveld explains.
She notes that the company will continue to offer “market-leading technologies” at competitive local prices, supported by service, advice and expertise from Eaton professionals and partners.
Van Ryneveld emphasises that the investment in Solutions Studio reflects Eaton’s commitment to being a collaborative partner, as it helps customers gain an early advantage in terms of discovering, and potentially adopting, new technological trends and efficiencies.
Further, Eaton’s expanded warehousing facilities will support the reliable availability of its portfolio of solutions, spanning power distribution, power quality and back-up power, electrical control and protection, and life-safety technologies.
“Managed through a new partnership with DP World, customers nationwide receive their orders on time. This improved warehousing network reflects Eaton's evolving operating model, centred on local commitment, proven solutions, and full life-cycle support,” Van Ryneveld concludes.
