Africa’s drive to move further down the mineral value chain is creating demand for increasingly advanced processing and refining infrastructure, with piping systems facing greater requirements for reliability, material performance and service life.

Allied Fittings Africa, part of the Allied International Group, says this is contributing to growing demand for specialised materials and engineered piping solutions.

This is particularly relevant in continuous processing, smelting and refining operations, where the financial impact of an unexpected shutdown can substantially exceed the initial cost of the piping component.
