Auric exceeds Munda production target by 46% in ‘stellar’ starter pit finish
ASX-listed Auric Mining has delivered a significant production outperformance from its Munda starter pit, producing 8 886 oz of gold – 46% above budget – following the final gold reconciliation from processing campaigns.
The company confirmed that final gold-in-circuit of 411 oz from the second campaign brings total production from the starter pit at the Munda gold mine to well above the initial target of 6 100 oz.
Ore from the operation was processed at Lakewood mill, operated by Black Cat Syndicate, across two milling campaigns.
A total of 126 000 t was treated at an average reconciled head grade of 2.46 g/t, significantly exceeding the forecast grade of 1.80 g/t. Recovery averaged 89.5%, also outperforming expectations of 83.3%.
The second campaign, which processed 68 154 t of ore from late January to mid-February, delivered higher grades of 3.18 g/t, driven by mining of deeper sections of the pit.
"It’s been a truly stellar finish for us now we have the final Gold in Circuit number. With production being 46% above budget, puts a golden bow on our Munda starter pit results.
“A total of 8 886 oz produced from 126 000 t going through in two milling campaigns at Black Cat’s Lakewood mill surpassed all our expectations.
“Best of all, these outstanding results indicate that Munda hosts a larger, higher-grade gold deposit than previously thought," said Auric MD Mark English.
