Project Description
The project is part of the Upper Kobuk mineral development and involves constructing a 340 km industrial road to access a major undeveloped mineral belt containing copper, silver, gold, lead, cobalt and other strategic minerals.
The road will provide vital surface transportation for more than 1 700 mining claims in the area, supporting further mineral exploration and mine development.
Potential Job Creation
Construction will directly support 2 730 jobs, driving income, spending and economic growth in rural Alaska.
