Nigeria HVACR expo draws strong industry participation

INFRASTRUCTURE SUMMIT The events hosted more than 20 sessions attracting more than 1 200 attendees
More than 2 800 industry professionals attended the inaugural editions of West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria, which were held over three days at the Landmark Centre, in Lagos, reports infrastructure events company dmg events.
The co-located events brought together government representatives, investors, contractors, engineers, technology providers and heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) specialists, including representatives from local and international suppliers across Nigeria’s infrastructure delivery, construction, appliance and cold chain sectors.
Institutions including inter-governmental organisation the African Development Bank, professional, nonprofit organisation Nigerian Society of Engineers, governmental institutions Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority and Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority and multinational energy technology conglomerate Siemens Energy participated in discussions and programmes during the events.
There were more than 20 sessions across the Infra360 and HVACR Nigeria talks platforms, attracting more than 1 200 attendees.
Meanwhile, at HVAC-R sessions, professional, nonprofit organisation American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Region at Large director and regional chair Bassel Anbari discussed the organisation’s strategic direction and its role in advancing technical standards, sustainability and international collaboration in the HVAC-R industry.
The sessions also covered system design and installation practices, including load calculations, ducted systems and variable refrigerant flow system design and commissioning.
The exhibition floor featured suppliers across six infrastructure sectors and the HVAC-R supply chain.
HVACR Nigeria, which was endorsed by manufacturers’ group Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and ASHRAE Region at Large, featured exhibitors including HVAC-R suppliers Thermax, Artech2000 and Air Master and HVAC-R manufacturers TICA Air and AHI Carrier.
Air conditioners and cooling products franchise Gree Nigeria head of marketing Kenneth Ozomah said the event allowed the company to showcase its cooling solutions and engage with industry professionals and decision-makers in the market.
West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria will return to the Landmark Centre from April 6 to 8, 2027.
The 2027 edition will also include the inaugural West Africa Warehousing & Logistics Expo.
“The inaugural editions reflected strong demand in Nigeria for industry-focused commercial events and highlighted active engagement across both the exhibition and conference platforms,” dmg events senior VP Josine Heijmans said.
Heijmans added that the addition of the warehousing and logistics event aligns with growing demand for intralogistics, distribution technology and supply chain management solutions in Nigeria.
